Service Description

This small-group online workshop is an intimate, supportive space for women, femme-identifying, and gender-nonconforming writers to explore the deep intersections of trauma, identity, and voice through the lens of creative nonfiction. Session dates: Tuesdays, 8:00 to 10:00 PM on July 8th to July 29th (7/8, 7/15/, 7/22, 7/29) Across 4 weekly sessions (limited to just 5–7 participants), we’ll dive into the power of personal storytelling—writing honestly, bravely, and with care. Each session includes 15–20-minute in-class writing prompts, reflective discussion, and space to grow your narrative craft. Writers of all experience levels are welcome. You don’t need to be polished—just present. Each participant will have the opportunity to submit one short piece (3–4 pages, Times New Roman, 12pt, double-spaced) for group workshop and thoughtful feedback. Together, we’ll hold space to: -Write from lived experience -Examine how trauma and identity shape narrative voice -Build a stronger connection to our stories—and each other Duration: 4 weeks Group size: 5–7 participants Location: Online (Zoom) Who it's for: Women, femme-identifying, and gender-nonconforming people What to bring: Yourself, your story, and an open notebook Let this be your space to write honestly and heal collectively.

Cancellation Policy

Each session includes in-class writing time (15–20 minutes per prompt), reflective discussion, and one opportunity for each participant to workshop a short piece (3–4 pages, Times New Roman, 12pt, double-spaced).


Shabana Sharif is a cultural producer, writer, and community strategist who curates healing-centered art experiences and storytelling spaces rooted in Indo-Caribbean identity and collective empowerment.
